And life continues..

My Grandma Todd passed away Friday, November 21, 2008. She had been battling with alzheimer's for many years. It's always so hard to see someone you love go through that, and what an amazing papa I have that took care of her till the very end. We can't wait to see her again someday!! We love and miss you grandma!!
So, let me catch up on what all has been going on.
Tuesday-Thursday (11/18-11/20) Grandma and Great-Grandma came to visit. It was fun to have them here and they were a big help keeping Ty for us while they were here. It was great-grandma's first time seeing Ty and I'm pretty sure she thought he was a keeper! Here is a picture of them (4 generations!) For some reason, the pictures are not doing right, so I'll try to fix them later.
Thursday night, we left after work and headed to Auburn. My wonderful friend, Katie was getting married. I hadn't seen her since my wedding, so I was really excited!!

We got there around 12 that night. We stayed with "my adopted parents" from my church there. Tommy and Glenda Jennings. They are the sweetest people and we so enjoyed getting to see them and spend a few nights with them! Thank you so much for letting us stay there and literally envade your house for 3 nights! :)

Friday morning we got up and got ready and we headed for the Bridesmaid's brunch. It was so nice and so fun to see some of the girls I haven't seen in years!

After the brunch, we headed to Amsterdam's Cafe to meet Amy. I hate I didn't get a picture, but she was beautiful as always. :) We had a great lunch and visit with her, and hated we didn't get to see Mack or stay with them, but there weren't enough hours in the day. :)

Next we headed to Charter Companies to see Ashley. We use to work together and have kept up with eachother since then. It was so good to see her. And again we didn't get a picture. :(

Then we headed to Bert and Holly's house. We hadn't seen them since my wedding and were so excited to get to see them and the "new" addition Hank. Let me tell you, I didn't stop laughing the whole time I was there. They definitely get the awesome parent award in my eyes!! 4 kids in 4 years. They are so adorable! I'm sure Holly might agree some days, and some days not. :) They were too cute and we loved seeing them! Here is picture that might possibly sum up the whole visit. Tyler was wide-eyed and entertained the whole time we were there. I'm not sure he's ready for 4 brothers/sisters. :) But boy wouldn't it be fun always having someone to play with! And like Holly said, these kids know how to take care of a baby, they were all in love with Tyler and wanted to hold him, I feel confident that if we (the adults) had left, Lucy would have them all under control! Too Cute!

When we left The Hudson's house, we headed back to the Jennings to change for the rehearsal/dinner. It was at the Cock of the Walk. We had a great dinner and then headed to the church for the rehearsal. I finally got to meet Daniel, Katie's now HUSBAND! He is so sweet and they are perfect for eachother. I'm so glad she meet such a wonderful guy to marry! We are so happy for her! After the rehearsal, David picked me up and we headed back to the Jennings, where Nolan and Ashley and little Jake, were waiting for us!! We were super excited to get there! She is 27 weeks pregnant and looks adorable! We had the most fun talking and giggling the whole weekend. We stayed up till 2 am so needless to say, Saturday morning we were pooped. Cause of course Ty didn't stay up with us, so at 5 he was ready to go! :) We had a great breakfast and then headed to Auburn to walk around and just be together. Ash and I took a pic in front of a Mock Toomer's tree. We had some bagel chips, from the Big Blue Bagel and then headed back to the house to get my dress for the wedding. They dropped me off at the church and I'm sure all took a little nap.

Meanwhile, we were getting ready for pictures and having a good time just all being together. Katie was super excited and not a nervous bone in her body. She looked absolutely gorgeous, as always, but even more as a bride! It was a beautiful wedding and so sweet. I know they had an awesome day! We had lots of fun at the reception hanging out with Ash, Nolan, Patrick, and Courtney. It was so good to be back in Auburn and see so many people I hadn't seen in forever!!

So after the wedding we went back home and pretty much fell asleep within the hour. We were mad because we wanted to stay up and talk since it was our last night, but we couldn't, we were exhausted! So overall the weekend was so much fun!! It's always hard to leave best friends, but makes you so excited for the next time you get to see them. Here is the first of many play-dates with Tyler and Jacob. Needless to say, they were both a little tired! :) We can't wait to see baby Jacob in February!! I'm hopefully going to make it to B'ham early March to see that precious boy!
Here are a few other pics taken this weekend:

So we left early Sunday morning so that we could make it back to church in time. Dad dropped GG off in Opelika to meet us and she rode back with us to NC. Dad, Mom, Mandy, Brittany, and the kids headed up to Cincinnati for the funeral. I unfortunately couldn't go, which made me really sad, but just coming back from maternity leave, I couldn't pull it off.

So we made it back just in time for church. Tyler did great! He's such a great baby! Thanks to GG for watching Tyler, I'm sure he loved it!

We put Tyler in his high chair for the first time and let him watch a baby Einstein video. He loved it. He sat there and watch the entire movie, it was hilarious. He would even smile and kind of laugh. It was so cute!

So, Nana, Mandy, Brittany, Austin, and Madi finally arrived to our house last night around 8:30. So lots of fun is to be had by us all! We will miss daddy, because he had to go back to FL for work. :( But we are so thankful for our wonderful family and friends!! God is good!

As promised..

Here is the latest video of Tyler smiling. Sarah, caught it on camera. He is really getting the hang of it now, because almost everytime you talk to him now he does it. It's the sweetest thing and just melts your heart! Such a sweet boy!

Stats are in...

So we went for Tyler's 2 month check-up yesterday. He did great. He got 3 shots, so that was sad, but daddy took the shot duty as I went out of the room, because I can't stand to see him hurt, but he did good and took it like a champ.
He weighed: 10lb 12oz (29%)
Length: 22 5/8 (40%)
Head: not sure the measurement but (52%)
So he passed with flying colors. We're so proud of him and can't believe he's already 2 months old, man time flys. I will post a few pics I took at the doctor and also write about our Kentucky trip...

So its been a while...

October was a very fun month in our life. I was out on maternity leave the whole month and LOVED every minute of it. It was so nice to not have to leave the house, if I didn't want to, and just cuddle with my baby all day long. Tyler is a great baby. He really is spoiling us, everyone has been telling us, but we don't mind. We are enjoying watching in learn and grow. He's getting so long these days. He can still were newborn size wise, but those long legs get cramped in the onesie sleepers, so we have now graduated to 0-3 month outfits, yay for new clothes! You can only take so many pictures wearing the same outfits. We had professional pictures made mid-October, but there is no way to see them on here, so you'll just have to take my word for it, they were cute. :) We also had our first date. We went to River Burch Lodge for a great meal and then went to TJ Maxx and Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. The Hirst took on the challenge of keeping Ty for the first time and they did great, not that I would have thought differently :) It was weird not having him with us, but David and I needed that time and we sure did enjoy it!
We went to Florida October 16-27th. We had a blast. We sure did miss daddy though. I know he must have gone crazy but we were so thankful he let us go. Thanks daddy!!! You're the best. We really enjoyed our time down there, and getting to hang out with the fam 24/7 was awesome. Austin and Madi have gotten so big it was so fun getting to see them for a whole week and watching them love on Tyler. Madi turned 2 on the 10th, so we had her bday party which was so much fun. I'm so glad we were able to be there! Madi constantly wanted to know "where's the baby" but didn't seem to like the fact that we put Ty in her crib for a nap. :) It was too cute! We went to the pumpkin patch after church on Sunday hoping to get some good "cousin" shots, yeah right. Tyler was hungry and didn't appreciate that the sun was blaring in his eyes, Madi did good, but wasn't too interested in taking pictures. But I tell you what... Austin was on his tip top behavior, why you ask? Because Nana promised to take him fishing that afternoon, he'll do anything if it has fishing involved. You'd be amazed at what a great fisherman he is!!
We enjoyed dinners together, playing games at night, and overall just being together, would have been perfect if David had only been there.
Tyler did great on the plane. Must have been the pressure or something, because both times in the airport he was fussy and just wouldn't settle, but as soon as we got on the plane, he was out. It was amazing, everyone kept asking me if I gave him a sleeping pill. :) We were anxiously greeted by David who was so happy to have us home, and that's a good feeling!
Then there was Halloween. What fun we had. We decided to go as the lobster family. Simple enough and I even got crafty and made the headbands. You all know I love crafts! :) We had a fun day. We went to the Hirst's for chili and then we trick-or-treated in the neighborhood, of course Tyler slept the whole time. That night our friends Zach and Carmen came from Ohio to visit us. It was a blast having them here, we really want them to move to NC, but we don't think it will ever happen, sadly. We didn't do much of anything, just spent time together and they just loved up on little Tyler.
Then it was over.... My days as a stay-at-home mommy had come to a close, a sad close. I had to come back to work Monday. I was blessed enough to get to take 7 weeks off, but it flew by way too quickly!! Boy was that a hard day walking out the door Monday morning without my little baby, it brings tears to my eyes just writing about it. I knew the day was coming, but it still doesn't make it any easier. It's amazing how much you can love someone so much in such a short amount of time.
I just have to add in that David is an amazing dad. I always knew he would be, but he way surpassed my high expectations. Tyler just loves him to death and gazes at him so much. It's the sweetest thing. And usually more than anyone, he can get Tyler to smile. Thank you "daddy" for all you do for us, providing, supporting, and loving our family. We couldn't do it without you and are so blessed to have you! Thank you for all you do even though you do still gag when you change dirty diapers, you do it, and that's amazing in itself!

What a wonderful life we have!

This picture was taken like a month ago with the Sidden boys, but i thought it was cute. Tyler was 3 weeks, Wyatt 4 weeks, and Luke 3 years. They're bound to be b.f.f. :)
I could post thousands of pictures, but it just takes too long. I will try to post a video of him smiling when I figure out how. :)
