Nothing real exciting...

Except that tomorrow is the start of my 20th week!! I can't believe how fast it is flying by!! Here is a picture of my 19 week, 6 day belly.

And also a week from today (May 5th) we get to see our precious baby and know if it is a boy or girl (Lord willing!!) We are super excited about that!!

This past weekend I was semi-stand in for Barbara as she was gone to the beach with some of her friends. I got to practice being the mommy of three precious angels! :) at least for a little while. Then Sunday we had Friends and Family day at church. There were alot of people there, and it was great although a little chaotic at times. But still a fun day. Then David and I went home took a nap, woke up about 4 hours later. Went to the grocery because HE was craving bagel chips and then came home to watch a movie. We really did have a fun night of laughing and just being together.

This week's pretty busy for us. I leave for Washington, NC tomorrow for work and will come back Wednesday night. Thursday I have work and then girls bible study and then David's softball game. Friday work and then sports night with the teens. Saturday is Habitat for Humanity and then that night is game night with the "young married" class at church. Sunday is church then a going away party for the Bradley's. Then home to bed and ultrasound at 8 am!! It should fly by!!

I'll be sure to let you know how it all goes! :)

"Good friends are like stars... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there."

I had a wonderful weekend with some of my best friends. We were roommates in college and have been best friends ever since. I flew in to Birmingham from Raleigh Friday morning. Once they picked me up there, we ate at our favorite little "girly" spot, O'Carrs for a fruit and chicken salad plate. Ummm, was that good! Then on to the lake. Ashley's parents have a lake house on Lay Lake, so that is where we went! We got there and it was gorgeous so decided right away to put on our swimsuits and get some sun! The water was way too cold so we decided to do a little kayaking, I've never done that before so I was so excited! We had a blast!

Then it started getting really windy and cold so we decided to move to the deck and chit chat and then went inside (on the screened in porch) for a fabulous meal and sat there for 5 hours discussing life, while the rain gave us nice background noice.

Saturday morning we woke up to a wonderful breakfast that Ashley's mom made for us and, got our swimsuits back on and headed to the lake. We had an awesome pontoon boat ride and then enjoyed some more kayaking. Then we had lunch at a little marina thing that had awesome hamburgers and then headed back to the house.

We decided to leave and go to Ashley's house for showers and stuff. Then we went and grabbed some supper and headed to my favorite place, Snow Biz! It was awesome! Then did a little shopping and of course stopped by Starbucks and then headed to Kelly's new house for the night.

Sunday we woke up, went to church and then had a great lunch at Chili's with great friends! Then back home to change clothes then off to the airport I went. So sad to leave, but so greatful that I was able to come visit!

After an uneventful plane ride home I landed in Raleigh and drove home to see my ever so excited husband! I'm very thankful that he loves me so much that he misses me so bad when I'm gone. What a wonderful life I have!

And this pretty much sums it all up:

"I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh. But I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry."

A week of "News"....

New things that is! :)
First David decided that we needed new stairs on the front of our house because ours were rotting and the wood bees were eating it away. So, thanks to my parents, GG, and David’s dad, he went to Lowes with gift cards and bought some supplies. He got the new Trex material that’s like wood, but not, to make the stairs with. We still haven’t purchased the hand railing because they didn’t carry what he needed in stock, but I’m sure that is soon to follow! :)

Next, is my new 18 week belly picture. I really can't believe I'm almost half way through! My how time flys!!

And last but not least, I got my hair chopped off! It's a little shorter than planned, but I like it and David loves it, so I guess that's all that matters! :) Sorry these pics aren't the best but I had to take them myself! But you'll get the idea.

And that's about all the "news" I can think of right now! Except for all the fishing gear in the garage....but hey it was his birthday! :)

A weekend to remember...

Well, this weekend was crazy busy!! We had a great time, but were oh so tired Monday morning! This is how it all unfolded:

Friday night after work we had Eliott's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. What a blast we had!!
Eliott and his "really good friend" that he hung out with the whole time!
The Trinh kids' singing

Happy Birthday to Eliott!

Luke sure did enjoy that blue icing
And of course the classic of Millie I couldn't resist!
And who can go to Chuck E. Cheese and not play the games... Surely not my husband! He was so proud of his tickets, although with about 600 tickets (equaling approx $20.00) I think he could get a plastic spider ring. :) (Really not that bad, but pretty much!) It's the fun that counts though, right?

After that fun we went to the church to listen to a speaker that was coming in to talk to the youth. It was really good, but hard to sit still after a whole day. Then on to the house where some of our "youth" kids came to watch a movie. And I didn't even fall asleep, because I was folding laundry!! :)

On to Saturday:

David jumps out of bed at 6:15 AM because he is so excited it's his birthday and we are going to some garage sales! Not really what I had in mind at (6:15!) but oh well, it's his birthday. So we go to a few places and find a few things and then head back home cause we're exhausted! I take a nap and he trys to fix the lawn mower he bought at a sale, but couldn't so ended up taking it back. Meanwhile, I decide to get my lazy self up and clean up a little, make lunch and get ready for the party.

Our plan was to have a skate party from 4-6 and then back to our house for icecream cake, but they "forgot" to tell me at Skate Haven, that they had a private party from 5-7 and that it would be closed, so we didn't get to go skating, but we did go bowling instead. It was still fun, but just a little frustrating. Oh well.

David and I & The Bowling Crowd
We then went to East Coast wings, picked up some food and brought it to the house to eat dinner. Alison and Byron's birthday's were also coming up, so we threw them all a party together.

This is the eating crowd that had to sit on the floor cause we don't have table space! :)

The 3 stooges blowing out their candles, isn't it such a cute pic?

And by 10:30 Saturday night this is about how we all felt. Precious little Francesca had had enough and so had we!

So Sunday, we had a great day at church, then had a fun meal at Texas Roadhouse with David's dad. Then home to take a nap. Allie stayed with us for Saturday and Sunday so we napped and watched "Flushed Away". Then we went on a walk and back to church for worship and finger foods with Brewer Road (a Hispanic congregation). Then back home to bed!! We were exhausted but smiling from a wonderful weekend!!

Another hard day at work...

Today I put in some water samplers in a stream. It was really fun because I got to play in the creek on a beautiful warm sunny day!!! That makes me smile! So, I thought I'd share a few pictures! :)

138 BPM

That was the baby's heart rate at 16 1/2 weeks. Doctor said that everything sounded and looked good. I'm having a little round ligament pain on the left side, but since that is my only real symptom, I can take it! Dr. just said that my belly was stretching and pulling :) You can start seeing when the baby is on the left or right side, because I poke out more on that side, so that's fun. I still haven't felt him/her yet, but maybe soon!! Here's a belly picture of 16 1/2 weeks!
Everything else is going great. We've had a great week and the sun is finally starting to shine, Thank goodness!! David's birthday is Saturday, so I'll blog soon sharing that fun day!!!
