Trip to Ohio...

So, we got back from Florida Wednesday night around 9:00 and then I went to work the next day and we left that night around 6:00 for Ohio. We had planned to stop in West Virginia at some friends house which was only about 4 hours away, so it worked out perfect. Ty did great and we got there about 10:30. They have 3 kids and were all up and anxious for us to get there. It was fun to see them. They have been friends with David's family for a good while and had never seen Tyler, so it was a much needed trip. We stayed up pretty late visiting, thanks Bonnie for the grilled cheese ;) and then went to bed. We got up around 8 ate some pancakes and got on the road by 10. We headed to Grandma's since her house was closer and everyone was gathering there. We had a good time visiting with everyone! Tyler took his first steps in grandma's kitchen (July 3rd). It was fun and he really didn't know what was going on, but I am so glad I got to be there. We got pictures of it but no video for some reason. Then we went to David's mom's house and chilled out there for the rest of the night. Saturday we got up and all headed down to grandmas. All the family was gathering there for their annual 4th of July get together and also it was a special treat because David's cousin Jason is in the military and was home for a couple of weeks and actually got married a week or two before so we got to meet his lovely bride and we had a little wedding shower for them. Mom C made the cake and boy was it good! She's getting really good at it! I helped a tad bit, but not really, I really was more of the "hander" things when she needed them. ;) We had a great lunch complete with all the fixins. Always tons of food. Then everyone has a water balloon fight, I mean everyone. I think I was the least wet person because I was "walking" Ty and when he got hit he would cry, so everyone kind of avoided me, but don't think that will work next year! ;) We had a blast and if you tried to hide it only made it worse because there were super soakers and all and yes, those standing inside got shot and then dragged out of the house to get soaked. Mom C had quite a time with the super soaker, it was so funny!
So later that night we headed back to Kenton to watch the ever so famous fireworks. Actually, they were very pretty, we had a good spot to sit (and exit quickly), and Ty loved them! He was just sitting there as still as could be trying to figure it all out. It was precious. So then back home to put him in the bed and then off to sleep.
Sunday, up for church and then we came back to Kenton for steak lunch. It was great. Kevin and Zach (David's oldest buddies) joined us as well as Bekah and Brad, so we had a great time. That night David was taking me to the Melting Pot in Columbus (about an hour away) for our anniversary. We went there last year, so it's kind of our tradition. So we left Kenton, headed to Zach and Carmen's new house to check it out and then headed down to Columbus. Kevin has a motorcycle, so he let the guys try it out. I took a couple of pics just for memories cause I'm pretty sure David's not getting one, at least ANY time soon! ;) So it was good to catch up with friends even though it was like less than an hour.
Then off to Columbus David and I went. We had a great time just the two of us! Mom C, Bekah and Sarah kept Ty for us so we could enjoy the evening. David had planned to stay down there, but I kind of crashed that idea because 1st I was being cheap and didn't want to pay for a hotel, and 2nd I didn't want to have to drive an hour back in the morning and then turn around and drive 8, so we came back. But we enjoyed dinner, walked around Easton mall, and then came back. It was fun being just us together again. Thanks sweetie for such a great anniversary!!!
Then Monday morning we got up packed all our stuff and David loaded it all back up. The whole family came to Kenton for lunch so that was fun getting to see everyone one last time. We left there around 2:00 and headed for W-S! It was a great trip. Thanks so much for making it the best! We had a great time and always love being with our family!!! Thank you for all you do for us! We love you!
We got home around 12:00, unloaded and passed out... Then the alarm went off, back to work I went! ;)

Trip to Florida...

This has taken me a while because I've been busy trying to get all the pictures together. For some reason, we usually don't get to many pictures of all of us. Of course of the kids we get lots, but not of the "adults". So we definitely have to get better at this!! So Friday, June 26th, Ty and I flew down to Florida. David didn't get to go with us because it was VBS that week and he had to stay here to help with that (which was awesome by all the things I've heard). Anyway, we had a short delay in Atlanta. Both flights went smoothly and Ty did great! They were all waiting for us to arrive at the airport and then we met BB for dinner at La Ha. It was so fun all being together (dad was at work). Then Saturday, we went to a few garage sales and then to a picnic at church. It was fun and they had kinds of fun things for the kids. Then we went back to the house and played some games (which is always a family favorite!) Sunday, up for church and then back to GG's for a wonderful but crazy lunch. ;) Then off to a bridal shower, back home to play a few games, back to church, and then out to eat. Boy that was a crazy day. Monday, we got up headed to the pool and just chilled out all day. It was GREAT. We swam, played games, ate, and played more games, it was just a fun day. Daddy took off work, so he was there too, seriously it was just so fun relaxing and all being together! Tuesday, we headed to the beach. We were a little worried because it was cloudy and I wanted to get some sun. Thankfully it was cloudy and the kids had a blast. Tyler loved it and even took a little nap with Nana. Then the sun came out, we stayed for about an hour longer and then headed back. It was perfect. Everyone did great!

Then we went to the beach shop and Nana and D bought Austin a hermet crab because he had been wanting one. So he was super excited. We had a cook out that night with the whole family, which was fun. Then we played games and relaxed, again. ;) Wednesday we got up, I got all our stuff together and then we headed to the pool for a couple of hours before I had to leave. We flew out about 3:30. It was good flight Ty did great except for the lay-over in ATL, he screamed bloody murder and knocked over a whole can of baby food on my jeans, it was lovely, but didn't last long... back on the plane and he did great. Daddy was anxiously awaiting for us when we got there!! We had a blast in Florida and miss it so very much. There were so many people I wish I could have seen while we were there, but it was too short of a trip and much too little time!! We got some great family time together. Lots of fun cousin memories!! They just all love eachother so much! It's so fun to watch them all interact!! It's great! Love you all and thank you for a wonderful visit as always!!
Oh, and Tyler officially got his first tooth while we were there in Florida!! Yay!

Inside out...

Tyler is now 10 months old. His "Inside-Out" Birthday because he has now been in the world as much as he was in my belly! I'm pretty sure he's right on target for his age... a little behind in the tooth department, but a little ahead in the walking department. So I guess it all evens out! ;) He got his first tooth around 9 1/2 months. He took his first steps a week or so before his 10 month bday. And started clapping on the day. So lots of little developments. These videos show a little bit of what he's been up to lately. He can now climb the entire steps without missing a beat. Loves to go up and down them a million times. He doesn't quite get the going down thing, he just wants to walk them, which definitely WON'T work, so I'm guessing with time that will come. ;) He just makes our hearts melt and lights up a room. He is still not sleeping through the night every night.. Most nights, but not always. We are getting tooth #2 this week, so that causes more ups and downs than anything. ;) He likes to eat most anything we give him. He loves cheerios and eating off our plates. I mean, I don't give him too much stuff yet, but I'm trying. He likes turkey, chicken, french fries (I usually just give him the inside) and all his baby food. He's growing like a little weed and we are loving him more and more each day. He loves to "sing" and loves going to bible class and has really started getting excited when you pull out a book to read to him. His face lights up, even though he will sit still for about 1-2 books before he's back down again. We are all so blessed to have him in our lives and I'm so thankful that God let me be his mommy!! Happy 10 month birthday baby boy! We love you!! We are having a fun time planning your 1st birthday party!! ;) Oh and one more thing that happened this month that I won't get into right now.... Tyler got a little trim by daddy when mommy was at work... That's all I'm saying for now. We will officially get his hair cut at some point here in the near future! ;) Enjoy the videos and sorry if you already saw them on facebook. That was the quickest way to get them to the grandmas who were anxiously awaiting!! ;)
