The Stats are in....

So we went this week for Tyler's 1 year check up. He was an angel but didn't know what he was getting himself into. The visit went good. He did all his tricks with a little hesitation for Dr. Bell. 31 1/2" (91%) in length
22lb 14 oz (51%) in weight
and 95% in head (I can't remember the measurement)
Then after the doctor left, the mean ol nurse came in and gave him 5 shots!!! One in each arm, one in one leg, and 2 in the other!!! I couldn't stay in there because I don't think I could have handled it, so brave daddy stayed with him. It was so sad!! He was shaking and screaming and had huge crocodile tears in his eyes!!! But he seems to be doing fine now, but we do have to go back in a month and get the other half of his flu shot. I'm sure he's going to be scared of that place now, I sure would be!!

So he's growing good and looks perfectly healthy! He did learn that a new trick was funny this week. Sticking his entire finger up his nose. Vicki and I were eating at Chipotle Sunday night and he kept doing it, I know I should NOT have laughed but it was the funnest thing and Tyler was belly laughing about it so it made me laugh even harder!! Here's a pic I took with my phone, and it's not real clear, but you get the picture! ;)
We are taking the youth group to Myrtle Beach this weekend for our Fall Retreat. It should be lots of fun, I just hope we have sunny weather!!

Tyler's Birthday...

On Friday, Tyler's actual birthday we took him to Chuck E. Cheese. This was the first time that he has gone so we were excited to take him. He LOVED it and didn't whimper the entire time we were there. We played games, rode rides, ate pizza, and just enjoyed being together. We got to see Chuck E. Cheese and Tyler went right up to him and gave him 5, he wasn't scared at all. It was a fun day.Afterwards we went home and found a sandbox on our deck from Aunt Sarah. It's so cool and Tyler loves it. We also got a Wonder Pets gift from Nana and D. Tyler was so excited and confused at the same time because he couldn't understand that the voices were coming from the box.
So after that Tyler went to bed to get some rest for the next day. Mommy and Daddy stayed up till 4:30am making the cake and doing the last few things around the house. Saturday morning we got up and Tyler and I went to get his hair cut. We went to my salon Dye Pretty. Brooke Lee cut his hair. He did really good. I took his bumbo so he would be a little more contained and then also brought a sucker. So between the both of those he sat pretty still. Afterwards we headed to Sam's to get some stuff for the party and then back home for Ty's nap and to start cooking the food.
The party started around 5:00. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, pasta salad, and chips. The guest were: Caleb, Andrea, Ashling, Bekah, Luke, Wyatt, Sarah, Phil, Darla, Evan, Sam, Brian, Shanna, Addison, Brian, Katie, Jennie, Dom, Melissa, Francesca, and Dominic.
We have been practicing with Tyler to blow out his candle, and he can do it, but for some reason he just starred at it. He wasn't sure about the cake at first but once he tasted it, he was all over it. He LOVED all his gifts that he got and we are so thankful for such wonderful friends and family!!! So we were exhausted so we crashed after the party. Of course David still had a few hours of homework left to do.
Sunday up for church and then back home for naps. Brad and Bekah came to visit Sunday evening on there way back from Florida. It was so good to see them but wish it could have been for longer. So Sunday night we all went to eat at East Coast Wings and Bryan and Candace were able to come too. So it was a fun night, fun weekend, and hope our little man had the best birthday yet! ;) Thanks to everyone who got to celebrate with us!!
The last pictures are some of the ones Grandma took while she was with us last week.

A year ago today...

We were at the hospital waiting for our 6lb 8oz, 20 1/2" precious baby boy to be born!!! He was perfect in everyway. I just can't believe that it's been a year and now he's our 23lb, 30 something inch, little boy!! It makes me cry just thinking about how fast time went by!! We are simply in love with the precious gift that God blessed us with. He's a very independant, strong-willed, ambitious, fearless, little thing. I think we are in for a fun ride with this little man. We love you Tyler and hope that you have a great 1st birthday!!You mean the world to us and we are so greatful that God blessed us to be your parents!!! We love you and can't wait to see what you have in store for us!! ;)

Labor Day Weekend...

First of all, it's September 9, 2009!! 9/9/09, just thought that was cool. Anyway.
This past weekend was Labor Day weekend!! I LOVE holidays!! Friday afternoon we started off our weekend by going to the Lake with some of our best friends Brian and Shanna and baby Addison. It was a lot of fun. It was both Tyler and Addison's first time on a boat, they both have done it before but they were in our bellies! So we were excited to see how they would do. Addison slept the ENTIRE time! From the moment we stepped on the boat, through dinner, and then another ride he slept, it was crazy. Tyler on the other hand... He enjoyed it oh so much but he and the life jacket weren't the best of friends. I will admit I wouldn't want to wear one of those things 24/7, but he's under 13, so he has to. He really did good, but you could tell he did not want that thing on. I didn't get any picture because I left my camera in the car, but Shanna got some so as soon as I get them, I'll post them. Then we left around 9:30 and headed to Charleston, SC actually Seabrook Island. Some of our other best friends have a house there so we finally had an open weekend so we went. We finally got there around 2:30 am. It really wasn't a bad drive, Tyler did pretty good, but once we got there he was ready to play, so we didn't get to bed till about 4:30 a.m. Thankfully the Trinh's stayed with Jeff's parents that night or we would have waken up the whole house!! Saturday we (Tyler and I) got up and went for a walk around the block. It was gorgeous out and we took the car that Grandma and Grandpa had given him as an early bday gift. He loves it and had a blast trailing the neighborhood. The Trinh's arrived around lunch and we all headed to the pool. It was so relaxing and Tyler had a blast. We put him in this body suit thing because they had a 0 entry pool so he kept "running" down the ramp and I was so afraid he was going to bust it, so we put him in the body suit to catch him just in case. Although we were at his side 24/7. They played and played. We went in around 4, Ty took a short nap and then we headed to Gilligan's for dinner. It was so delicious!! Back home to relax. Sunday morning we got up and had our own church service on the screened-in porch. Afterwards, we headed back to the pool/beach. Stayed out there till about 5:00. We had incredible weather the entire time we were there. It was so pretty I could have stayed outside ALL day! Jeff and David tried to fly the kite, but they couldn't get it to stay up in the air for long even though the wind was fierce. We cooked dinner that night and got the kids in bed. We just relaxed on the porch the rest of the night. Monday we got up and went down to the beach to take pictures. The sun was so bright because we didn't get down there till around 11 so most of the family pictures David has a hilarious look on his face, hence the outtakes. ;) After that we went back to the pool and stayed till around 4, then went back, packed up and headed out around 4:30. We had a great trip back and got home around 9:30. We were so glad that we went and grateful that the Trinh's took us with them. Thanks guys it was awesome!! Great friends, great weather, great food what could be better??

This is just a mid-week update... Saturday we had a very productive day. David finished the deck. It looks amazing and the pictures don't do it justice because it was raining when I took them, so I took them through the window and you can't get the whole effect, so I"ll have to take more soon. I'm so proud of him and thankful for a wonderful handy husband! While he was doing that, Ty and I played and then when he went down for his nap, I got busy cleaning and doing laundry. So I really felt productive. I started the day at 7:00 at Wal-Mart. I just woke up and knew I needed to go before Ty woke up so I did and it worked out perfectly even though I was pretty tired by the end of the day! ;) At 2:00 we had Millie's birthday party. She had a cupcake party and I think it turned out quite fun. I couldn't get good pictures because all the kids were moving and trying to get the best seat in the house. So this is the best I could do. ;) After that we went to Wyatt's 1st birthday party. He and Tyler are 9 days apart. It was fun and he was so cute with his cake. He had a alligator/jungle themed party. Everything turned out great and I think he had a blast. At one point during the cake smashing, he got really interested in his balloons and put on quite a show. It was adorable. Tyler and Wyatt played good together probably because there were about 2 gifts there for every child, so he had plenty to share. ;) It's going to be fun watching them grow up together.
I finally got a shot of Ty showing his teeth. It's a little close, but at least you can see those honkers. ;) He now has another one almost through on the top.
And these pictures are of Tyler taking a bath. He LOVES his baths and now as started laying on his belly, kicking his feet, and putting his face in the water, he thinks it's so funny and really it is! ;) It's probably his most favorite time of the day! And that's about all the update I have for now. Grandma and Grandpa Cramer (David's mom and step-dad) are here. They got here late last night and are working on finishing our hardwood floors throughout the living room as we speak! We are so grateful for them and glad they are here! More updates coming soon...
